Narbeck Wetlands Sanctuary
6020 Seaway Blvd
Everett, WA
MAP IT
Opened in 1999 the Narbeck Wetlands cover about 50 acres along Seaway Boulevard in Everett and acts as a leaky bur to off set the impact the growing Boeing Company Assembly Plant and expansion projects of the Paine Field Airport has on established souround waterways and wetlands. The newly establish wetlands is home to a variety of birds and wildlife, including ducks, heron and beavers. In spring and summer many insects can also be scene in the different ponds.
From the parking lot you can take a short path which connects to the 1/3-mile-long raised boardwalk. Then hop on the 1.5-mile perimeter trail for even more scenery.
There is limited parking both in the sanctuary and on the street. Most days the parking lot is used by Boeing employees as overflow parking. So finding parking is not very easy. There are only 4 parking spots on the Seaway Blvd which are often occupied as well.
