Learn all about the developments and improvements to the IL-2 Shturmovik
Learn all about the development and improvements to the Focke-Wulf FW 190

The 2013 Free Fly Days offered by Paul Allen Flying Heritage Collection in Everett, WA came to a close on Saturday September 21st, 2013. The final flight featured WWII aircraft that have not shared the skies in nearly 70 years.
Flying Heritage Collections Focke-Wulf 190A-5 and IL-2 Shturmovik took part in Saturday's
"Air War over Russia" in Everett, Washington. During the 1940s both of these aircraft fought for air to air and air to ground dominance on the Eastern Front. The heavily armored Tank Buster IL-2 Shturmovik was Russia's Air to Ground platform to take on ground to air cannons, trains, supply routes and bridges. Flying low over the terrain and its ability to absorb numerous hits while sending rockets and shells down range made it a very successful aircraft.
