Located on the east side of the Volunteer Park reservoir stands "Black Sun" a sculpture made by prominent Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi in 1968. The sculpture carved from black Brazilian granite stands 9 feet tall and features an opening in the middle that frames the Space Needle, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Range.
This sculpture is reminiscent of the lyrics written by Seattle's Chris Cornell in 1994's "Black Hole Sun" off of Soundgarden - Superunknown Album.

No. 128 Fremont Troll

The Troll is a mixed media colossal statue, located on N. 36th Street at Troll Avenue N., under the north end of the George Washington Memorial Bridge (also known as the Aurora Bridge). It is clutching an actual Volkswagen Beetle, as if it had just swiped it from the roadway above. The vehicle has a California license plate. The Troll was sculpted by four local artists: Steve Badanes, Will Martin, Donna Walter, and Ross Whitehead. He is interactive—visitors are encouraged to clamber on him or try to poke out his one good eye (a hubcap). The Troll is 5.5 m (18 ft) high, weighs 6,000 kg (13,000 lb), and is made of steel rebar, wire, and concrete.

Aurora Avenue North was renamed "Troll Avenue" in its honor in 2005 and The Troll was entered in the soapbox derby in 2007.

Freedom Park on Camano Island is a 3 acres open area near Terry's Corner that begings at the fork of NE Camano Drive and E North Camano Drive. On the east end there is a community board with information pamphlets on the island and upcoming event. If you look carefully enough you can spot a T-Rex hiding in the parking lot. Behind the community board is children's playground for munchkins to let out some energy.
On the hill you can find a Ships Bell and a war memorial to WWII veterans of the area. Other areas include a bronze elephant, stone sculptures and a gazebo. To the west the park boarders on Terry's Corner which features small shops and the islands public library.
